Lower taxes

Ohio is losing people and jobs at a rapid pace because entrepreneurs and hard-working citizens are over-taxed. Ohio must immediately lower taxes to attract new jobs and retain the

jobs we already have.

Cut Wasteful Spending

Ohio must become more efficient. Beth believes government needs to be more fiscally responsible and learn to live within their means. Also, Beth believes there can be tremendous costs saving to the taxpayers if state government agencies would consolidate services.

Protecting the Rights of the Unborn

Beth Lear believes that life begins at conception and she is 100% pro-life. In the legislature, Beth Lear will always stand up for the rights of the unborn.

Protecting our Second Amendment Rights

Beth Lear believes that our constitutional right to bear arms should always be protected.

Beth Lear earned her Expert Marksmanship Ribbon in the Ohio Air National Guard and is a member of National Rifle Association (NRA).

Education

The strength of our economic future depends on the education of all Ohio children today. Beth Lear believes the strongest education system is one where families have freedom to choose among public, home, charter and private schools. High standards with fair and adequate funding are essential. Beth’s education policy work, including helping Rep. Jon Peterson with his Special Needs Scholarship bill, and her service on two public charter school boards illustrates her commitment to school choice and quality education.

Beth, I like what I see but, like many voters today, I would like to see your thoughts on 1) the Tea Party movement, 2) 9/11 truthers, 3) using federal funds to make Ohio’s budget, 4) reducing the number of employees and their incomes in Ohio, 5) reducing the cost of government in Ohio and 6) bringing jobs and industry back to Ohio.
Thanks for taking time to respond.

“What is beth position on Illegal immigrants and anchor babies?”

Two different Pauls that share a similar concern. What is Beth’s position on mandatory E-Verify for public and private employers in Ohio? Rep. Jordan has co-sponsored HB 184 that mandates that employers verify that their employees are legal citizens (or have legal work Visas). With high unemployment in Ohio, it is especially important to ensure that legal citizens are the ones being employed in the state, Then, of course, there are other issues that result from illegal immigration (i.e., crime, schooling costs, public assistance costs, etc.).

  15. Dan Barrett says:

I’ve forwarded the immigration questions on to Beth and am waiting on a response. Thanks for your interest all!

Beth, I met your husband, Jeff, yesterday when he going door to door. I am a 21 year small business owner, West Point grad, Vietnam Vet, conservative American. I am appalled over what is happening in Washington DC under Obama and in Columbus under Strickland. We need a change, a conservative change – smaller govt, reduced spending, lower taxes . I am impressed with your core values and will vote for you in the primary. I am also avalable to give you insight into a small business owner’s point of view. Thank you for getting involved.
